# Welcome

Zeta Foundation and $ZEX was launched to facilitate the growth of the Zeta Protocol, a Solana based DEX. **In May 2025 Zeta Protocol will cease operations**.

$ZEX is the token used on the Zeta Markets protocol, driving growth and participation.

Zeta Markets is the fastest, smoothest, and most secure perpetuals exchange on Solana. To date, it has facilitated over $15B in trading volume while serving more than 40k monthly active users.

This is the official documentation site of the Zeta Foundation. All materials related to the $ZEX token, the token whitepaper, airdrop, token terms and governance will be collected here and distributed across Zeta Foundation's official channels:
